Download
Installation of the update client is straightforward. After installing please fill in your login/password from this service and the domain you want to update.
Here is the update client installer for Windows XP/2000/Vista NEW VERSION v1.2:
Download dyndnsclient_v1_2.exe -> Updated 15/11/2010 to use checkip.sitweb.eu! (installer is about 1Mb)
If you are updating from a previous version please read below for some extra instructions!
Install howto:
Just click the the download link above, choose run. Sometimes you get a warning like this:

This is just because the application is written as freeware and not digitally signed (signing the application is not free thanks to microsoft ;) ).
Once the installer is finished you will see a tray icon appear (green checkmark or red cross if something went wrong). Double click this tray icon to change the settings so they match your account/domain information.
The program is run at startup by means of a registry key. This key is deleted when you uninstall the program. We did not make it a service because windows vista does not like services that have a gui. This might be changed/improved in a future version though.
The dyndns update client will check the ip address every 60 seconds and when it changes it will post the new ip address to dyndns.sitweb.eu. This way your server is reachable from the outside world using a static url.
Upgrade howto:
When upgrading you can just overwrite the previous version and then right click on the tray icon. (First be sure you have remembered your old login/pass) then click on restore defaults. This will change the registry keys so that the new server checkip.sitweb.eu is used. Sorry due to lack of time I did not write an update menu item. Anyway since there is only about 10 users now and it is freeware I didn't have the urge to implement it... Anyway here are some screenshots to help you out:
Should for some reason something fail you can allways first uninstall the old version and then reinstall the newer version by using the uninstaller supplied. You can find that here :
